You don't catch that much because you are looking at someone suspicious.

Anyways, getting a weapon is going to be hard if all blacksmiths are like this.

Nothing is more annoying to a retired blacksmith then to wake up with someone stealing something you made. You have thousands of these, however, so you might be able to let him keep it.

Your mind switches quickly. If he gets this freebie, all the thieves would try it too.

Who knows if this is some thief or bandit lord or something.

Maybe you should ask him why he is taking it.
